Wooseok SHIN is a New York Qualified Lawyer practicing at D’LIGHT Asia Practice Group (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Laos, Singapore). He is proficient in Chinese, English, and Korean and his work spans a wide range, including advising on the development of Myanmar industrial zones for state-owned enterprises, reviewing international arbitration and contracts, overseeing the sale of a bank in Cambodia, and providing corporate legal advice.

He graduated from China’s Tsinghua University with a Bachelor of Law (LL.B.) and Economics(B.A.), and further earned his International Arbitration LL.M. from the Pepperdine Law School, with recognition as the first Korean recipient for full tuition scholarship awarded by Weinstein Foundation as a JAMS Scholar. Prior to joining D’LIGHT, Wooseok gained expertise and built a significant professional network through competitive traineeships with various big international law firms and international organizations. He worked with the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Herbert Smith Freehills (Singapore), Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith (U.S., LA), King & Wood Mallesons (China, Beijing), and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC).

Furthermore, Wooseok also works as a Research Associate at the Singapore International Dispute Resolution Academy (SIDRA), focusing on Singapore Mediation Convention and and Investor-State Disputes. He regularly presents at international conferences such as Singapore Convention Week, hosting workshops for government officials and legal professionals on the development and key issues in the international mediation landscape.
