Profile

Hong Young Kim is Chief Advisor of the Asia Practice Group of Dlight Law Group. Having worked at one of the major law firms in Korea, Hong Young has extensive experience in Japan and Myanmar, Thailand, Vietnam practices.

Working closely with legal practitioners, he has advised clients on a wide range of issues including M&As, real estate investments, labor disputes, and general corporate and commercial matters for Korean and Japanese companies.

In particular, Hong Young has advised Japanese companies on a variety of legal issues in Myanmar including business incorporation, commercial disputes, investments through SPC scheme, and other transborder projects with Mr. Jeoung Hoon Yoo who is currently serving as the leader of the ASEAN Practice team of LIWU Law Group. Hong Young was granted a full scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science, and Technology of Japan to study for Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in political science at Kyushu University, Japan. With Hong Young’s academic background, expertise and professional experience, the ASEAN Team of LIWU Law Group offers professional legal services for both Korean and Japanese customers.
