Hyeon Jin Ji majored in legal studies at Yonsei University, and graduated from Busan National University Law School. Upon passing the bar, Mr. Ji served as a Public Service Advocate with the National Labor Relations Commission, where he worked on administrative litigations concerning illegal discharge and illegal employment practice review, and helped the implementation of labor policy by successfully obtained an emergency order for fair joint representation upon the passage of the Multiple Labor Union regulations. He also contributed to research and study of labor law as   a section author in the Korean Labor Law Topical Case Studies publication. During his service as a Public Service Advocate in the Ulsan District Prosecutors’ Office, he represented the various central government agencies in various litigations against the government and administrative litigations.

After completion of his public service, Mr. Ji started private practice at a law firm in Busan and advised clients in various matters including start-up formation and operation, construction and real estate, general corporate and finance and other matters, and also conducted civil and criminal litigation. Mr. Ji developed expertise real estate matters through his representation of clients on complex litigation requiring construction appraisals and in major developmental projects encompassing all of the investment, construction, and lot sales phases.

Mr. Ji will be based in D’LIGHT Law Group’s Busan office to help establish a sound and stable startup environment in Gyeongsangnamdo by advising on startups and VC matters, and real estate law, as well as conducting civil and criminal litigation.
