Yoo, Jeoung Hoon

Mr. YOO, Jeoung-hoon graduated from Seoul National University Law School with a major in law. He is the Managing Partner of the Myanmar office. He oversees the Korea Desk for the offices in Cambodia and Thailand, providing comprehensive management of the firm’s Asia Practice Group.

With decades of experience in litigation and financial matters at major law firms in Korea, he has been actively involved in Southeast Asia practice, serving as the head of regional offices and leading the firm’s practical work in Southeast Asia since 2009, focusing on Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and other countries. Notably, as one of the first Korean attorneys to enter Cambodia in 2009 and Myanmar in 2012, he has become known as one of the most prominent legal experts in the South East Asia region and has a well-established reputation, particularly among Korean and Japanese corporate clients.

Specializing in foreign direct investment in Southeast Asia, overseas real estate development, regulatory advice for financial institutions, project financing, and IPO transactions, he has achieved significant success in this realm. One of his major accomplishments includes successfully overseeing the initial public offering (IPO) of Phnom Penh Water Supply, a state-owned enterprise, making it the first IPO on the Cambodia Securities Exchange (CSX).

He strives to meet client demands, providing top-notch legal advice in a wide range of areas, including resource development, hotel construction, real estate development projects, manufacturing investments, and banking and finance throughout Southeast Asia.
