Jae Hoon Shin majored in electric engineering at Postech and graduated from Hanyang University Law School. After graduating from Law School, he worked as an inhouse lawyer of a multinational company and as an associate at law firms and advised clients in various matters including start-up formation and operation, general corporate and finance, civil and criminal litigations. He has advised corporate clients on matters under the Commercial Act, the Regulations on Capital Markets and Financial Investment Business Act, and the Korean Exchange’s Regulations on the Disclosure of the Stock Market. Mr. Shin also advised clients on government regulatory matters, as well as matters under the National Territory Management Act, the Social Welfare Services Act, and the Local Finance Act, as well as advising research and development clients on research outsourcing agreements, investment agreements, technology transfer contracts, and other technology-based projects.

Mr. Shin represented clients in civil and criminal litigation in the various courts of Daejeon, Sejong, and South Chungchung province, and gained a reputation for client-oriented service in the region. He also volunteers as a member of the Children’s Welfare Deliberation Committee of Yusung-gu to help children who are lacking in protection and oversight of their welfare.

Mr. Shin will be based in the Daejeon office of D’LIGHT Law Group for the maintenance of a healthy startup ecosystem in Mid-Korea by providing advice to on establishing startups and protecting intellectual property rights, and other legal areas, as well as conducting civil and criminal litigations
